Stressful weekend was filled with stress. More after the jump! For your time.

Kinja'd!!!

House listing went live on Thursday. 4 showings Thursday night, three on Friday, an open house on Saturday, an an individual showing in the late afternoon . Multiple offers by Saturday night, and under contract by Sunday afternoon.

Also occurring on Saturday, multiple open house viewings and a cold and windy pizza party at the park. Found a house we liked, worked through the contract and submitted an offer Sunday morning. Updated offer to appease seller a bit by extending the acceptance deadline.

Took Mother’s day off to recuperate and get some wrenching done. Replaced the water pump, plugs, and lower unit oil in the boat.

Came to work to rest. Haha

Now eyeing this beauty.....Will be hard to talk myself out of buying it after we sell the house. Sweet, sweet equity.

When you just gotta get some wrenching done.

If this doesn’t turn them into future gear heads, I don’t know what will.

Where do you live? I’m trying to unload two properties right now (PA and MD) and it feels like I can’t even give them away.

Anyway, best of luck to you!

Coming to work in order to rest sounds right. Buying and selling houses is a pain normally but in this market it’s insane.

Denver, everything is going for over asking at the moment. Well everything sub 375 and most below 425 as well.

On the plus side, if our offer gets accepted on the new house, the dates are aligned such that I’ll only have to move once.

We lucked out that way, selling our house days after our offer being accepted on a new place, but our dates work out that we have to load the trucks on Saturday and unload them Sunday. Still better than living with my in-laws.

I think spending a couple hundred bucks on some guys to load the truck might be money well spent.

It’s costing more than a few hundred bucks (three guys, 26ft truck, overnight storage fee, overtime on Sunday, etc.) Renting a big truck for more than 24 hours turned out to be next to impossible because of the demand and besides I’m not so young and my friends and family aren’t so young either so it’s worth it.

Definitely. A coworker hired some guys, cost him 600 just for the crew. Best money he said he ever spent.

Holy crap, double congrats then! I don’t think I’ll ever be able to afford to move in this town. Trying to figure out how else to get more space at the moment.
